November 11th is Veterans Day. To give honor to all who have served in the armed forces we will be sponsoring a “Bring a Veteran to School Day” on Monday, November 11. We will be holding our annual all-school assembly to honor our Veterans! Mr. Kastel along with the fourth-grade students are working hard in preparation of the day. The assembly will start at 9:00 am. Veterans can arrive starting at 8:15, we will be providing a continental breakfast with coffee and juice for Veterans and their guests. At 9:00, Veterans will be escorted to the gym for the assembly. Upon conclusion of the assembly, Veterans are welcome to visit the classroom(s) of their grandchild, child, relative or friend to participate in a classroom activity. The entire day should conclude by 10:30 am. If your child plans to bring a Veteran on Monday, November 11, please return this form by Wednesday, October 23.  In order to make this a more meaningful experience, we will be constructing a Veteran’s Wall. We are asking you to help your child fill out a veteran’s slip for all the Veterans that you know and would like to recognize (family, friend, deceased or alive) who have served in the armed forces. You may fill out as many slips as you would like. Please return the slips to school by Wednesday, October 23.
