The Garfield Heights City Schools Theater Department, under the overall direction of Mr. Stephen Benjamin, dazzled nearly 30 senior citizens from the community recently with a preview performance of the entertaining production Dream Girls. Senior citizens from the City of Garfield Heights, Jennings Home, and even Maple Heights Community Center visited the Center for Performing Arts on Thursday, April 18th to participate in this interactive performance, and watch our talented High School performing arts players, showcase their talents. The senior citizens demonstrate such enthusiasm when visiting the school. At intermission, refreshments were served thanks to our helpful support staff. In all, the intergenerational activity gives students the opportunity to practice one last time before live and actual productions, while unquestionably entertaining our Greatest Generation.
